I'm Frank Nunan
Frank Nunan is a journalist and editor by profession who received his initial journalistic training in the then Rhodesia on the Bulawayo Chronicle. He has also worked on South African newspapers such as The Star and the Sunday Times, and was active in the marketing and IT fields for many years after leaving journalism.
After moving to the Eastern Cape from Johannesburg in 2011, he launched SA Catholic Online in 2013 as a Catholic internet resource, and simultaneously began his publishing facilitation business, offering proofreading editing and self-publishing services to Catholic authors. This was expanded to the secular world in 2016 with the launch of Write-On Publishing.
He has to date published more than 130 books, including more than 35 Catholic books or books by Catholic authors.
His association with Radio Veritas extends to a weekly 10-minute slot in which he mainly discusses the Church’s use of the internet and suggests various websites and other online resources for listeners.
He was active in the affairs of his then home parish, the Kouga Catholic Community of Jeffreys Bay, Humansdorp and St Francis Bay in the Diocese of Port Elizabeth, where he has been Parish Council chairman, as well as Parish Secretary. Both he and his wife Sylvia are Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist – Frank celebrated his 30th anniversary as a Eucharistic Minister in October 2021 – and he is also a Proclaimer and Liturgical Leader, conducting Communion Services for his community in the absence of a priest.
He and Sylvia have one son, Ryan, who lives in New Zealand with his wife Elaine and two little boys, Liam and Torben. Frank & Sylvia are now living in New Zealand with the family.
