I'm Owethu Onez Ndlakuse

Owethu Ndlakuse was born in December 2014 in Bayi. She is a young writer who loves to tell stories. Her book “Hello, my name is Owethu” reached the final stage in the Children’s Literature category at the South African Literary Awards 2022. Together with her father, award-winning author Madoda, they launched Lockdown Storytelling Online to tell stories on Zoom and were listened to by several people from all over South Africa. Owethu has also told her stories at events such as Ekhaya Festival (2020) and Mandela Bay Children’s Festival (2020).
